Paris suffered from Type 2 diabetes, and his doctor prescribed him insulin and an insulin pump, according to the Associated Press.
Paris lost more than 20 pounds during his lifetime, and he weighed just over 100 pounds in 2016.
In March 2017, Paris died of a heart attack at his home in Mexico City.
Paris has been buried at the church of St. Dominic of Narbonne in Rome, where he attended mass as a Catholic priest.
